Terms & Conditions

Payments

All payments MUST be made prior to the start of every lesson. If this is not carried out the lesson will be cancelled and you will still be charged the full amount. Payments can be made by cash, contactless or bank transfer.

Cancellations & Postponements

You’ll receive a reminder via text 24 hours in advance. Cancellations MUST be made at least 24 hours in advance. If this is not carried out, the full lesson fee MUST be paid and all future lessons will be put on hold until payment is made. The instructor reserves the right to cancel lessons if they feel that the weather or road conditions are unsuitable or dangerous, under these circumstances no charge will occur and lessons will be rescheduled at a later date which will be agreed by both parties.

Punctuality & Non-Attendance

Pupils are respectfully advised to be punctual for their lesson. A maximum of 15 minutes wait time before departure will take place, after this period the lesson will be terminated and the full fee will be charged. Unavoidable wait times may occur by the instructor when delayed due to any unforeseen circumstances. Time lost as a result of this WILL be made up by the instructor either at the end of the lesson or at a later date which will be agreed by both parties.

Driving Under The Influence

To ensure safety, the instructor reserves the right to cancel any lesson if you are, or if they suspect you are, under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. Should this occur the full lesson fee for the appointment will be charged. The instructor reserves the right to refuse future tuition in these circumstances.

The Practical Driving Test
Bookings

Driving tests must be booked by the pupil. Test dates will be approved at the instructor's discretion. All test appointments must be notified to the instructor as soon as they are known.

Use of the vehicle

In the interests of customer and public safety the instructor holds the right to withhold the use of the vehicle for the test if, in the instructor's opinion, the pupil's driving is actually or potentially dangerous.

Test cancellations

Three clear working days’ notice of cancellation or postponement is required by the DSA. Failure to provide the required notice will result in the loss of your test fee. The instructor cannot be held responsible for any postponement or cancellation of tests by the pupil or the DSA. However, the instructor will do all that is possible to support the pupil in arranging another test as quickly as possible and reclaim any expenses from DVLA.
